Finally, my first post

I have had this blog up for quite a while now, but with no posting. Why? Because I tend to be a perfectionist and wanted all of my needlework pictures up and looking perfect. Of course, since life isn't perfect and I definitely am not, I can't find most of my needlework pictures, couldn't think of what the "perfect first post" should be and have been delaying and delaying doing this. I finally decided to just jump into it and not worry about it being perfect.

I am doing this blog to share my love of all types of needlework with others, but also, to get advice from other needleworkers when I am stumped as to what stitch or color will be best for the project I am working on. I follow other blogs and am always amazed at the wonderful ideas that other stitchers have to offer.

I have been stitching for about 40 years (yikes!) and love doing it. I also love to sew and dapple in other crafts although cross stitch and needlepoint will always be my first love. I am very fortunate to be retired now and able to spend more time doing what I love! I always have several projects going, which probably isn't a good thing since I have a lot of unfinished projects, but have decided that 2011 will be the year that I finish up all of these long overdue projects.

I am hoping to do this blog weekly, if not more, and will try to have pictures of what I am working on for my next post!
